In about 8 hours, Dong's family will be meeting with my family here, at home in Pasig, for the traditional Pamamanhikan. Please do pray for the following:
For a knitting of hearts between the two families
For a happy time together
For clear communication and coordination about wedding details that need to be discussed
haha kaya yan! si alfred nakakatawa natulala sa kaba on the day itself kahit lahat ng mga parents and titos and titas comfortable and nagtatawanan na. :) i had to kick him several times under the table. :)) - maiky
Hello Everyone! Thank you for praying for The Pamamanhikan 2 Sundays ago! Except for a couple of interruptions from the kids running through the sala while playing tag, I think, it went real well! Our parents had a major modification to our initial 7AM-breakfast-reception idea: they suggested to move the ceremony to 9AM to make it more convenient for guests. We wanted 7AM because we wanted a cooler morning weather, but they said we could use tents anyway. So we're having a lunch reception instead, and though I have to give up champorado-and-spicy-tuyo (or maybe not, hahaha), their suggestion really made sense. All our other initial ideas -- Lina's Orchard as venue and local tropical flowers as main decors -- remained pretty much intact. Thanks again for praying, and pictures to follow shortly! :)
