Emotional Engagement

These days, I could never attend a wedding without feeling nostalgic about my own. So last night, while I was playing wedding reception host, I sneaked out a text message:

But Edbert and Trisha's wedding did more than just trigger nostalgia. The family love going all around warmed every heart in the Bulwagang Sarimanok. Just look at the surprise the Velilla family put together for the Groom (which is a great gift for the Bride as well):

Velillia Family - the Bride is the sixth of 6 boys and girls

"Welcome to the family..."

"...We're glad that you have come..."

"...to share your life with us..."

"...as we grow in..."
"...love and..."

(If you're too young -- or old, hehe -- to recognize the words in the caption, they're from the song "Welcome to the Family".). And did I mention that this wedding, a marriage of the North and the South (Groom's a Bulakeno and the Bride's a Davaoena), was put together in three months just so one of the Velilla siblings, who was due to go abroad in April, could participate? Now that's what I call all-out family support. <3
