But first!
Thank you God that our first choice for venue, Lina's Orchard in Los Banos, Laguna (Los Banos -- where Dong and I met; Lina's Orchard -- where I day-coordinated a wedding before our fateful June 27, 2009 date, where I gave my "Yes" to... dating Dong... more on this later) still had December 7 available for us when we went there to book last, last Saturday!
That was a major concern (which I failed to post in here, sor-ree!) because we really want that date, but we didn't (okay, I didn't) want to make the major bookings until after The Pamamanhikan, which we just had some three Sundays ago -- a little less than nine months before the wedding. Before a December wedding. So we really thank God for that. (Again, photos to follow. I'm trying to get the slideshow thingie to work for days now.)
For our prayer request, please pray that there won't be a wedding (or any other booking) at the venue on December 6 and on December 8, so that we can check in early the Friday before, and check out late in the afternoon of our wedding day. Hehe.
Please also pray for brilliant coordination with Chelsea's who's also executing most of the event styling. They're our first choice for local LB caterer, and we're grateful they can still accommodate us for December 7. (We talked with them just recently -- the same day we did with Lina's Orchard.)
And please pray for wisdom in deciding other major suppliers/supplies. Lastly, please pray that, whoever those suppliers are that we're getting, we'll be good friends with them, if they're not yet our friends.
I really think friends make great event partners. (Lifetime too -- Dong and I are celebrating a decade of friendship this year, together with Batch '03. Woot-woot.) Plus, it lessens the chances of spit in your soup.
