Update 02: The Ninong, the Ninang and the Workbook

Last Saturday marks the beginning of an exciting Ninong-Ninang relationship with one of our Ninongs and Ninangs: Ninong Ed and Ninang Judy Niebling!

Ninong Ed is actually Kuya Ed, chief of staff at Southeast Asia - Campus Crusade for Christ, and Ninang Judy is Ate Judy, my former editor at the same office. Dong and I were really blessed during our time together -- Kuya Ed and Ate Judy reminded us that what we're having on December isn't just a wedding to save up for, to prettify and slim down for (although the latter still is a must!) and to plan for. Ultimately, what we'll be having is a joining of lives for forever (which, for me, also means uprooting myself from Pasig and relocating to Laguna permanently this time), something that calls for serious emotional preparation, regardless if we've known each other for 10 years and if I've lived in Los Banos for four. Admittedly, I have been taking that part for granted, being caught up in the more physical/tangible wedding details and thinking that being friends for 10 years and being together for two and living in LB for four is enough "preparation". :|

Another blessing is the Before You Say I Do workbook -- an early wedding gift! Thank you so much Ate Judy and Kuya Ed... and the Fallows and all those involved in getting the books to us. You see, Ate Judy and Kuya Ed ordered those books the last time they were in Orlando. But the book didn't get to them in time for their return here. So they asked Ate Anne and Kuya Greg if they could bring those instead when they go to the Philippines, but the books also didn't make it to them in time for their January trip. But the Fallows (or was it the brother of Ate Anne/Kuya Greg?) had friends who were going to the Philippines as well. So a relative of theirs got the books to those friends, and the friends got to Philippines -- in Bacolod, that is. But they were kind enough to have them shipped to Manila, and so here we are with the books! A BIG Thank-you to everybody who had a hand in putting these books in our hands: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, from me and Dong!

How's the book so far? Hopefully we'll find out this Saturday. :)

I thought after you and Dong left that day, "Now THAT was a morning well spent." It is a joy for us to be your ninongs! Thank you again for asking. So great how the workbooks finally got to you, via me, Greg and Anne, my sister and brother-in-law, the friends of my sister and brother-in-law, and LBC from Bacolod. Hope and pray they are a great blessing to you and Dong, Anna!
