You're right, this post has little to do with the wedding. But, hey, so what right? This is our prayer bulletin site after all. :D
Here's why I surprised Dong with BREAKFAST on the morning of May 9, 2013:
#1 It's his birthday.
#2 Aside from he's already expecting a birthday surprise -- he knows I looove surprises, giving and receiving them, and he got a birthday suprise last year...
#3 ...He's expecting to get it at the end of the day, rather than first thing in the morning.
#4 A "breakfast in bed" (although that didn't really go as planned) next year would be a given, but this year, it'll be a great surprise!
#5 Did I say I looove surprises?
The sixth would probably be that I know he loves it when I do acts of homemaker-ish service for him. And that's one thing I learned and I'm continuously learning at church - to love and to love in a "language" (But Kayanne and I believed there's one lost language of love: the language of knowing. More on this later.) that the beloved truly understands.
Happy Birthday, Mahal! I look forward (I hope you do too!) to giving you a hundred more birthday surprises and even more breakfasts!
