Prayer Request 04: [Photographer]/Videographer

Yesterday, I was panicking because the wedding videographers I've contacted earlier this month haven't responded still...

(I am writing this at dawn of May 23, but by yesterday, I mean May 21 and by today I mean May 22.)

Before today, I've contacted four videographers on my shortlist. So far, only Rockin' Videographer has replied -- with a NO, because they're 7th Day Adventists and don't work Saturdays!

I felt panicky. I imagined that, either we won't be able to book a good videographer our budget could afford, or we'd have to settle for someone we're not crazy about but we can afford. OR... We'd just have to forego the video coverage.

That was yesterday (and the night before yesterday). I prayed to God to calm me down and to work while I wait. He reminded me that:

1. At the end of the day, videography alone cannot and will not make (or break) a wedding. What's essential is that we're getting married to the person God has willed for us to marry, and we get to celebrate that marriage.

2. I have a big God. I should always remember that truth when I pray. And I should always remember to pray, period.

3. God is still in control of everything

Taking advantage of the "Keep Calm" fad, the origins of which I know nothing about
And what do you know, I got three proposals/quotations from video suppliers today! Even before I blog about this! I feel bad having given in to panic and worry. But praise God!

We STILL don't have a videographer, so you can still pray for/about that one. Most of the packages in the submitted proposals are beyond our budget. Meanwhile, the road to securing a particular supplier for this is proving to be very... memorable. :)
